The Galley Beggar Press presents an exciting opportunity for writers worldwide to participate in the 2025/2026 Short Story Prize. The competition welcomes unpublished works from both amateur and professional authors. Stories must be in English and have a maximum word count of 6,000 words.
Prizes:
- The winning author will receive a cash prize of £2,500.
- Each shortlisted author will receive £200.
