Opportunity description
The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is pleased to issue the 2021 Call under the Government of Ireland International Education ScholarshipsProgramme. Under the initiative 60 scholarships will be provided for one year study at Bachelor, Mastersor PhDlevels.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The offer is open to students from non-EU/The European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
- The scholarship will be awarded for one year to pursue a master’s degree, a postgraduate diploma, or a PhD.
- Candidates must have an offer of a place at an eligible Irish higher education institution.
- Applicants who have previously received an Irish Government International Education Scholarship are not eligible to apply.
- Russian and Belarusian citizens are not eligible to apply.
Application deadlines:
Applications open in late January 2026 and close at 5:00 p.m. (Ireland time) on 12 March 2026.
Scholarships Value:
Students who are successful will receive:
- A €10,000 stipend for one year’s study.
- A full fee waiver of all tuition and other registration costs at the higher education institution.
About the Government of Ireland:
