Opportunity description
The Inkspot Publishing Short Story Competition is open for submissions. Here are the guidelines: Two entry types are accepted: stories up to 2,500 words, or stories between 2,500 and 5,000 words. Your submission must be in English or your own work translated to English. The judge is Kate Nash, a renowned literary agent.
- Entry Fee: £10 for stories up to 2,500 words. £15 for stories up to 5,000 words.
- Prizes:
- First Prize: £1,000
- Second Prize: £250
- Third Prize: £100
- Deadline: Midnight GMT, Sunday 30th November 2025.
- Key dates:
- The shortlist will be announced on Friday, 27th March 2026.
- Winners will be announced on Friday, 10th April 2026.
- All submissions should be made through their website.
