International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Its Fourteenth Edition and a Chance to Valuable Prizes

Film Freeway invites filmmakers from all over the world to participate in a competition which takes place on the sidelines of the event of the International Film Festival for Children and Young People "JUNIORFEST" in Its Fourteen Edition. This festival will last from 5th to 11th November 2021. You have the chance to choose from different films categories to register in the competition section. 

 Festival Program:

• International Competition of Feature Films for Children, category 5-11 years of age.
• International Competition of Feature Films for Young People (12-16 years of age).
• International Competition of Animated Feature Films for Children ( 5-12 years of age).
• Informative section
• Playful Films. 
• Teenage Movies.
• New Czech films and television programs.
• Retrospective presentation of distinguished personalities of the Czech and world cinema.
• Accompanying events for the entire family, workshops, specialized seminars.

If you are among the winners, you will get one of the following prizes:

• International Expert Jury awards the following prizes:
• Festival Flap: Best Feature Film in Children category (5-11 years of age).
• Festival Flap: Best Feature Film in the Young People category (12-16 years of age).
• Festival Flap: Best Animated Feature Film in Children category (5-12 years of age)
• Audience awards:
• The Pilsen Region Award: audience award for the most successful feature film in the Children category (5-11 years of age).
• The Festival Cities Award: audience award for the most successful feature film in the Young People category (12-16 years of age)
•  The General Partner Award: audience award for the most successful animated feature film in the Children category (5-12 years of age).
• Prize awarded by the citizens association JUNIORFEST:
• Golden Watch Hand: award for lifelong creative contribution to filmmaking for children and youth.

You must follow the following terms:

• Registration for films in the competition section is exclusively open to films that have been released/premiered after January 1, 2021.
• The film will be accepted in the following formats: DCP, Blu-Ray, or DVD. 
•  All films selected for the competition are screened in the original sound version with English subtitles.
•  The applicant is obliged to cover the costs for the production of subtitles. 
•  The organizer will inform the applicants of their participation at IFF JUNIORFEST no later than October 15, 2021.
