Kyoto University is offering Graduate (Master - PhD) scholarship. These scholarships are competitive and are made available to students who demonstrate high academic performance.
Scholarship Period:
- 2 years for Master's program students
- 3 years for Doctoral program students
Benefits
Kyoto University offers two types of scholarships:
- Super KUAS-E Scholarship:
- Stipend (for personal expenses) 1,200,000 JPY/year
- Tuition exemption (100%)
- Admission fee exemption (100%)
- KUAS-E Scholarship:
- Tuition reduction (100%, 50% or 30%)**
- Admission fee reduction (100%, 50% or 30%)
Eligibility criteria
- Students who will enroll in the Faculty of Engineering with good academic performance
- (Master’s Program): Applicant has completed the equivalent of 16 years of education, including graduating from a university program.
- (Doctoral Program): Applicant must have graduated from both an undergraduate and graduate (master's level) program.
- You must meet the minimum required score in place to ensure your level of English proficiency.
Required Documents:
- CV with specific academic information
- A detailed research plan
- Official academic transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate programs
- A list of research achievements (if any)
- A photograph
- Summary of research (ONLY required for the Doctoral Program)
- Application essay(400 words minimum, 500 words maximum)
- Certificates of graduation of all bachelor’s degree programs (for both Master’s and Doctoral Programs).
- Certificates of graduation of all master’s degree programs (ONLY required for the Doctoral Program).
- Evidence of English language proficiency (TOEFL iBT/IELTS/PTE/Duolingo)
- A Letter of recommendation
- Copy of your passport or ID
