McGill University in Canada is offering the McGill-UAE Graduate Studies Fellowship to outstanding Emirati students who wish to pursue a master’s or PhD degree at the university beginning in Fall 2027.
The fellowship is one of the funded graduate scholarship programs in Canada and is intended for citizens of the United Arab Emirates who demonstrate strong academic achievement and are admitted to an eligible graduate program at McGill.
Selected students receive CAD 70,000 per year to help cover tuition fees and living expenses. The fellowship may be renewed for up to two years for master’s students and four years for PhD students.
Eligible Faculties and Fields
The fellowship covers eligible graduate programs within:
- Faculty of Science.
- Faculty of Engineering.
- Faculty of Arts, Economics only.
- Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
- Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
Benefits
Each selected student receives:
- CAD 70,000 per year.
- Funding that can be used to help cover tuition fees and living expenses.
- The possibility of renewing the funding for up to:
- 2 years for master’s students.
- 4 years for PhD students.
- The opportunity to study at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
- Access to the university’s academic and research environment.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of the United Arab Emirates.
- Apply to an eligible master’s or PhD program at McGill University.
- Receive admission from the university.
- Meet the academic and language admission requirements of the selected program.
- Apply to a field of study within one of the faculties eligible for the fellowship.
