The University Of Hohenheim in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers a limited number of MSc scholarships for Agricultural Economics at the University under the special initiative “Development-Related Postgraduate Courses” (EPOS). These scholarships support excellent candidates from developing countries who have strong academic and professional backgrounds.

If you get this scholarship, you will have:
- Tuition fees waived for the 2 years of the Agricultural Economics Master’s program.
- Health insurance.
- A monthly living stipend.
- Travel costs to Germany and back as well as for research.
- Furthermore, an integral part of the DAAD EPOS initiative is an intensive German language course from August to September at a language center in Germany, prior to starting the Master’s program.

Eligibility criteria
You must fulfill both the DAAD EPOS requirements AND the admission criteria for the AgEcon program:
- For DAAD EPOS Scholarship
- Minimum 2 years professional experience post Bachelor’s.
- Academic degrees should be less than 6 years old.
- Must not have resided in Germany for longer than 15 months by the application deadline.
- For MSc. Agricultural Economics
- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with above-average results.
- Official proof English proficiency, eg. IELTS academic (overall Band 6.5), TOEFL ibt (90).
- Proof of undergraduate courses in statistics and economics.
- Proof of self-evaluation through the AgEcon PreTest.
Scholarship Timeline:
- Scholarship application period: November 15 - December 15
- Selection of awardees occurs in February
- German language course starts in August
- Master’s program starts in October
