Opportunity description
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is offering a full-time national volunteer opportunity for a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Associate based in Port Sudan. The selected candidate will support monitoring, evaluation, and organizational learning systems, strengthen data collection and analysis processes, and contribute to reporting activities. The role also supports the implementation of programs related to sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, and the prevention of gender-based violence. Working closely with program teams and implementing partners, the M&E Associate will help improve data quality and promote evidence-based decision-making.

Duties & responsibilities
- Support the implementation of Results-Based Management (RBM) principles and monitor key performance indicators.
- Contribute to data collection, analysis, and the preparation of periodic reports.
- Support knowledge management activities, including documenting lessons learned and best practices.
- Monitor reports submitted by implementing partners and ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Update databases, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and program work plans.
- Contribute to capacity-building efforts for staff and partners in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL)
- Support the organization of field visits and follow up on the implementation of recommendations.
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data management, or related areas.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
- Experience in reporting, documentation, and knowledge management.
- Previous experience in humanitarian or development settings is considered an asset.
