“Arbitrators’ Quest” Competition from Konrad Partners and a Chance to Win internships and Valuable Prizes

Konrad Partners is pleased to announce the organization of the eighth edition of its competition; Moot Court “Arbitrators’ Quest”, which will take place on 13 May 2022, in an online format. It is an annual competition where participants compete in a mock trial setting before lawyers from the Konrad Partners’ International Arbitration Practice Group. As its aims at providing students and young professionals an opportunity to gain first-hand practical experience in international arbitration. this is a wonderful learning and networking opportunity for you.

If you win this competition, you will have:

• A paid internship with the Konrad Partners Arbitration Practice Group in Vienna.
• The costs for accommodation. 
• A unique opportunity to gain first-hand practical experience in situations and matters typically arising in international arbitration disputes.
• The three top-rated participants will be awarded book prizes kindly donated by Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory, International Group.

You should follow these terms:

• The competition is open to:
• Students, graduates, and young professionals with an interest in international arbitration.
• you should be reasonably familiar with general arbitration procedures.
• The moot case is based on an international sales contract that involves issues and facts which commonly arise in arbitration.

Competition Timeline:

• Applications will be accepted through 28 February 2022.
• The selected participants will be notified and provided with a case file as well as further instructions in March 2022.
• Twelve participants will be selected based on their written applications.
• Participants will be expected to prepare a written memorandum in support of a pre-assigned party to the dispute.
• Oral arguments will be held in a remote hearing on 13 May 2022.

4. Your performance during the Moot.
