The Center for the Study of African Economies (CSAE) announces that the call for papers for the CSAE Conference 2022 titled ‘Economic Development in Africa’ is now open. This year, CSAE is taking the conference online for a fully virtual event from 14-18 March 2022.
Eligibility criteria
- CSAE invites papers relevant for issues of development economics in Africa. Papers discussing countries other than those in Africa can be considered, if those papers deal with issues central to development economics in Africa.
- CSAE is inviting submissions of all papers in development economics, however, it asks you to select one of the following broad topics to help the refereeing process:
- Agriculture.
- Firms.
- Fiscal and Monetary Policy.
- Health and Education.
- Households, Inequality, and Poverty.
- Labour.
- Macro Productivity.
- Natural Resources and the Environment.
- Political Economy.
- Trade.

About CSAE:-
The Centre for the Study of African Economies is a research center that has been researching economic and social development in Africa since 1986. These days, a large team of development economists research not only countries in Africa, but also in other developing areas of the world. The CSAE is part of the Social Sciences Division at the University of Oxford, with researchers in the Department of Economics, the Blavatnik School of Government, and the Oxford Department for International Development.
