Opportunity description
Picter announces an international online photography competition, which will give the winners the opportunity to win prizes worth €3,000.
Benefits
- A jury composed of a group of experts will award competition prizes to five projects in each of the competition's three categories.
- The jury will also select the best project from these categories and the first overall winner of the competition from all the winners in the aforementioned categories.
- The winners of each category and the first place winner of each competition will receive cash prizes totaling €3,000 (first place winner of the competition €1,500, winners of the competition categories €500 each).
- All winning entries will be published in TIPA member publications and on the TIPA website.
Eligibility criteria
- You can submit up to 5 images per project in one, two, or all three categories.
- You must own all rights to the submitted images.
- The organizers reserve the right to reject entries that violate ethical or moral standards.
- Shortlisted images (1-10) in each category will be published by TIPA and TIPA member publications.
- The competition categories are divided into three categories:
- Camera and you:
- Think “camera selfie.” You can use reflective surfaces or place another camera on a tripod or surface and use a self-timer so it's just you and the camera in the picture. You can also use a unique piece of camera equipment.
- Your own camera in action:
- Ask a friend or colleague to take photos showing you and your camera in action. Think about the context of the photo (sporting event, nature hike, studio setup), accessories like a tripod and flash, and interesting locations you might use to get a great viewing angle.
- What's in your camera bag:
- Smart and artistic arrangements of cameras, lenses, accessories, filters and even films. Show what you might take with you into the field for nature work, sports work, or even astrophotography. They can be inside the bag or clustered around it, but pay attention to the lighting and depth of the image.
