Online Volunteer Opportunity to Translate Protection Academy Training Material from English to Arabic from UNV

The United Nations Volunteers program offers an online volunteer opportunity to translate Protection Academy training materials from English to Arabic. UNDP launched the Crisis Academy in 2022 to systematically enhance the knowledge and skills of the global crisis working community within UNDP and its partners. Under the Crisis Academy there are 6 academies that provide educational paths in areas critical to crisis prevention, response and recovery: the SURGE Academy, the SURGE Data Hub Academy, the HDP Nexus Academy, the Stability Academy, the Infrastructure Academy and the Prevention and Protection Academy. The Prevention Academy focuses on strengthening the capacities in conflict prevention and peacebuilding of United Nations staff, government institutions, bilateral and multilateral development partners, civil society and non-governmental organizations, which includes the ability to analyze and work in conflict and crisis-affected environments and develop future solutions for prevention and peacebuilding. In this context, the Prevention Academy wants to ensure that learning opportunities are available to most professionals in the six main UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish), so the Academy would like to employ 40 online volunteers to translate and proofread translated training materials to meet the needs of Arabic-speaking learners in the field of Conflict prevention and peace building.
