Opportunity to Attend and be Nominated for IMPACT National Conference for Social Work

Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2022 IMPACT National Conference! This year’s conference will be a 1-day, virtual event taking place on Friday, February 25th from 12:00pm EST to 6:30PM EST/9:00am PST to 3:30pm PST.

The IMPACT Conference is historically the largest annual conference focused on the civic engagement of college students in community service, service-learning, community-based research, advocacy and social justice. Building on the rich 36-year tradition, IMPACT is the one time during the year when students, administrators, faculty, AmeriCorps members, and nonprofit professionals gather together to learn and share effective practices, improve personal skills and organizational strategies, discover opportunities and resources, exchange stories, and be inspired and challenged to sustain our efforts.

This year at the National IMPACT Conference, we will honor those individuals and programs whose efforts and contributions have fulfilled the mission and vision of our organization and the communities in which they serve through their outstanding work. You may nominate yourself and your programs and/or another individual and their programs.

Registration for this year's conference will be $25 per attendee. For institutions or organizations interested in registering 10, 20, or 20+ attendees, IMPACT will be offering group discounts! 

• Group of 10 attendees: $225 (1 free registration)
• Group of 20 attendees: $450 (2 free registration)
• Group of 20+ attendees: $475 (flat fee)

1. Nomination letters should include: the nominee’s name, telephone number and email address; an outline of the person or program’s contributions based on the criteria for the award; and any additional materials to support the nomination.
2. If nominating yourself, please include a letter(s) of support.
3. Nominees may be contacted for additional information.
4. Award winners will be notified so they can make plans to attend the conference.
5. Please nominate colleagues and/or programs which fit the following categories:

• John Sarvey Administrator of the Year Award: This award honors the life and work of one of the National IMPACT Conference’s early founders, John Sarvey. The award recipient exemplifies a commitment to the mission and values of the Impact Conference through significant, continued, and unselfish service and leadership. An ideal candidate’s efforts would benefit college students, professionals in the field and community members.
• Student of the Year: This award is designed for a current undergraduate student who exemplifies a commitment to the mission and values of the Impact Conference through significant, continued, and unselfish service and leadership.
• Service Program of the Year: This award recognizes a campus based program which models student-led direct community service that has in some way contributed to making their campus and communities a better place for everyone.
• Action Program of the Year: This award recognizes a campus based program which models student-led direct action work which has in some way contributed to making their campus and communities a better place for everyone.
• Advocacy Program of the Year: This award recognizes a campus based program which models student-led advocacy work which has in some way contributed to making their campus and communities a better place for everyone.
