The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is offering a national volunteer opportunity for a Partnerships and Reporting Officer with the World Food Programme (WFP) in Baghdad.
The selected volunteer will support WFP Iraq’s External Relations Unit by preparing reports, proposals, and briefing materials, strengthening relationships with donors and partners, contributing to fundraising efforts, and increasing the visibility of WFP programmes related to food security and development.

Duties & responsibilities
- Implement WFP Iraq’s partnerships and resource mobilization strategy.
- Develop and manage relationships with government entities, donors, private-sector organizations, and other partners.
- Identify new funding opportunities and analyze donor trends and priorities.
- Prepare concept notes and proposals for submission to partners and donors.
- Coordinate meetings, field visits, and joint events with donors.
- Draft talking points, briefing notes, and official correspondence for meetings and events.
- Follow up on cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding, including their approval and signature processes.
- Collect and analyze information on donors, financial commitments, and funding projections.
- Update partnership and funding databases using systems such as Salesforce, WINGS, and WFPGo.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 18 and 80 years old.
- Be an Iraqi national, a legal resident of Iraq, or hold refugee status in the country.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Political Science.
- International Development.
- Development Economics.
- International Relations.
- Law.
- Marketing.
- Business Administration.
- Another related field.
- Have at least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Be fluent in both Arabic and English.
- Working knowledge of Kurdish is considered an advantage.
- Be able to work full-time in Baghdad.
