PhD Scholarship in the Field of Finance in Henley Business School in the United Kingdom

Henley Business School offers four partially funded PhD scholarships to highly motivated individuals who are passionate about Finance & Capital Markets with an appropriate academic background, generally, a Distinction at the MSc level in a finance-related subject as well as applied and relevant research. You will have the opportunities to gain industry experience during your doctoral research and to secure one of the academic positions at UK Universities or take one of the industry positions at employers such as Allianz, and Barclays.

If you get this scholarship, you will have:

• Covering fees.
• Stipend.
• Receive research training.

Please note: The scholarship is renewable for a further three years subject to performance.

You must have:

1. A good undergraduate degree in a relevant subject.
2. Masters' degree, preferably at distinction level. 
3. Very well-developed research proposal. 
4. Awarded on the basis of outstanding academic merit.
5. PhD funding is available to both UK and International students.

Course structure:

A PhD is usually taken on a full-time basis over three to four years. The program starts in September at the beginning of the academic year. 

• Year One: You will have to attend courses examined according to university rules. These courses include Research Methods and other courses required for your area of concentration.
• Confirmation of Registration: During your second year, you will be required to defend your fully developed Research Proposal, consisting of a substantive document of around 10,000 words.
• Year Two - Three: The remaining part of your PhD studies will be devoted to completing your thesis before your viva examination at the end of your three to four years.
