SALTO-YOUTH has announced the opening of applications for an international training course titled PlayLab: Building Communities Through Experience, which will be held in Poland from August 17 to 24, 2026.
The training focuses on using games, experiential learning, and community building as effective tools in youth work. The program targets youth workers, trainers, facilitators, community leaders, and youth project managers who wish to develop their skills in designing and facilitating play-based and experience-based activities.
The training aims to help participants understand how games can strengthen trust, communication, participation, inclusion, and social connections among young people. It also provides a practical space to try interactive educational tools, design educational games, manage group sessions, and facilitate reflection and evaluation processes after activities.

Eligibility criteria
To apply for the training, applicants must belong to one of the following categories:
- Youth workers.
- Trainers.
- Youth leaders.
- Youth project managers.
- Volunteer mentors.
- Facilitators or professionals working in non-formal education.
Applicants must also meet the following requirements:
- Be interested in using games and experiential learning in youth work.
- Be able to attend the training in person in Poland from August 17 to 24, 2026.
- Have proficiency in English, as it is the working language of the training.
- Be from one of the Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries or neighboring partner countries of the European Union.
- Be able to transfer the knowledge and experience gained to their organization or local community after the training.
- Commit to participating in an online preparatory meeting before the in-person training.
