Opportunity description

The Center for Favela Studies (CEFAVELA) at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) in Brazil is offering two postdoctoral fellowship positions in Applied Social Sciences and Urban and Regional Planning.

The fellowships are available under two separate research projects. The first project, Real Estate Markets in Favelas, aims to develop new theoretical approaches to better understand how space is produced within contemporary favelas and its relationship with the urban economy.

The second project, Technical Networks and the Digitalization of Favela Land, focuses on examining the territorial transformations associated with the digitalization of favelas and developing a comprehensive database on the movement of goods and logistics services within these communities.

  • Related academic disciplines.
  • Database design, development, and interpretation.
  • Stakeholder and actor network analysis.
