The Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council (QRDI) announces the opening of applications for the new cycle of the Graduate Studies Research Assistantship (GSRA) program, which aims to support outstanding students in pursuing their postgraduate studies in scientific research fields.
The program targets students wishing to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree, whether in Qatar or at accredited international universities, while providing comprehensive financial support to help them focus on their academic and research journey.
The program is divided into two tracks:
- Local Track: for students studying within Qatar
- International Track: for studying abroad
Benefits
Full coverage of tuition fees
An annual allowance of up to QAR 18,000 (for conferences)
Funding duration:
- 2 years for a Master’s degree
- 4 years for a PhD
For the international track:
- Health insurance
- One-time relocation allowance
- Annual economy-class flight ticket
Eligibility criteria
- The applicant must be 40 years old or younger
- The applicant must be employed in Qatar
- Must have secured admission or applied to a full-time program
- Must not have started the program before the application deadline
- Local Track: for residents and Qatari nationals within Qatar
- International Track: for Qatari nationals and children of Qatari mothers only
