Opportunity description
Qudra is offering an online Workshop: Working Together for Youth Employment 2021 in the response to the Syrian and Iraqi crises. Youth-led protests have shown that unemployment is not only an economic concern for individuals, but a challenge that strikes at the core of social and political stability. COVID-19 has exacerbated the already precarious economic situation of many of the refugee-hosting countries bordering Syria.
Workshop Subjects:
Among others, this Resilience Dialogue will address the following questions:
- What are the main obstacles to more sustained employment, particularly of young people? What needs to be addressed collectively?
- What are the respective roles of public organisations, training providers and private sector businesses in tackling the challenge of youth employment? What is stopping us from working better together?
- How can international actors support better cooperation? What models work to promote better cooperation?
Benefits
The workshop will:
- Promote better cooperation between the public and private sector in getting young people into jobs.
- must work hand-in-hand to make sure that young people get the best possible start in their careers.
Eligibility criteria
- This workshop is offered for young people who must be supported in developing the skills that the market needs – be it as employees or entrepreneurs.
- This is a society-wide challenge. Employers, schools, training providers, and of course the government
