Opportunity description
The 100 Words Competition (100 Words 2025) is a contest for writing an original short story of no more than 100 words (including the title). The story must include one of the following words: PLACE, PLACED, or PLACES (not as the title). The competition is open to anyone aged 16 and above, and all entries must be original, unpublished, and not submitted to other competitions.
Entry fee: £3 for one, £10 for five.
Deadline: September 7th at 12 noon.

Eligibility criteria
- Age: 16 years and above.
- Submission: Must be an original fictional work, unpublished, and not entered in other contests.
- Length: Maximum 100 words, including the title.
