Scholarships for Innovation Persons and the Chance to Have a Grant from Stockholm Stad in Sweden

Stockholm Stad invites every who possesses Innovation and creativity to a scholarship; the Stockholm Innovation Scholarship, which is awarded to five innovators in different categories. This is your chance as the City of Stockholm wants to reward creative people and encourage them to further develop their ideas. Your innovation can be a physical product, a service, or a combination of both.

Scholarship Categories:

1.  Simplify everyday life:
2. This category is looking for innovations that can make a person’s everyday life easier. 
3.  Creative industries:
4. This category is looking for innovative solutions within film, literature, music, food, fashion, design, and gaming. 
5.  Life Science and health:
6. This category is looking for innovative solutions within digital healthcare, biological and medical technology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare.
7. Travel and tourism:
8. This category is looking for solutions within hospitality where hotels, restaurants, transport, and trade are the biggest industries.
9. Social impact and sustainability:
10. This category is looking for smart products and services within environmental technology, food tech, and all other types of social innovations.

If you win this scholarship, you will receive:

• Around 11410 USD.
• Innovation coaching from Almi.
• Marketing and networking opportunities.
• Free workspace at United Spaces for six months.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

• Apply as an individual (Companies are not allowed to apply).
• Reside, work, and/or study in Stockholm County at the time of application.
• Be 18 years of age or older. 
• Not have received a Stockholm Innovation Scholarship twice in the past two years.
• Not have been an employee of the City of Stockholm, including associated companies or administrations.
• The individuals who are interested in developing their idea, but may lack support from companies, organizations, or institutions.
• You may apply as an individual or as a team. At least one of the team members must fulfill the requirements of either residing, working, or studying in Stockholm County at the time of application.
• That person will also represent the other team members should the innovation win.
