Opportunity description

The University of Bristol has invested up to £5 million in the Think Big scholarships to help international students fund their UK studies for the 2026 academic year. The scheme offers financial support for applicants with overseas fee status applying for eligible undergraduate or postgraduate master's courses.

Benefits

  • Undergraduate awards: Valued at £6,500 and £13,000 applied to tuition fees per year (for up to four years).

  • Postgraduate awards: Valued at £6,500, £13,000, and £26,000 applied to tuition fees for the first year of study.

  • Think Big Career Accelerator: Eligible postgraduate students can receive a place on this programme along with an additional £3,000 scholarship.

  • Additional Bursaries: Living cost bursaries are available for specific partnered awards (e.g., Michael Wong Pakshong bursary).

Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants must be classed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes.

  • Must have applied for a full-time, in-person undergraduate or master's programme at the University of Bristol.

  • Must receive an offer to study at the University of Bristol before April 24, 2026.

  • Undergraduate applicants must meet or exceed the entry requirements as stated in their formal UCAS offer by August 31, 2026.

  • Exclusions: Courses in the Bristol Dental School and the Bristol Medical School are not eligible for undergraduate scholarships. Scholarship awards cannot be deferred to a later year.
