The International Organization for Migration (IOM), a United Nations agency, has opened applications for a three-month volunteering opportunity in Ankara, Türkiye, for the position of Human Resources Assistant under the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program.

Duties & responsibilities

The volunteer will contribute to:

  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.
  • Assisting with recruitment procedures and coordinating interviews and assessments.
  • Preparing and publishing vacancy announcements and communicating with candidates.
  • Organizing and maintaining employee files and administrative records.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, and documents related to human resources.
  • Assisting with the organization of meetings, workshops, and training activities.
  • Carrying out other administrative tasks assigned by the Human Resources team.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be Turkish citizens, legal residents, or individuals with recognized refugee status in Türkiye.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Be fluent in both Turkish and English.
  • Have good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to organize documents effectively.
  • Be able to work within a multicultural team.
  • No previous professional experience is required.
  • Previous experience with international, governmental, or humanitarian organizations is preferred but not mandatory.
