The Swedish Institute (SI) is a government agency that promotes international cooperation, cultural exchange, and capacity development through educational opportunities and scholarships. It serves as a bridge between international students and Swedish universities, supporting sustainable development and global leadership through fully funded academic programs.
The Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals (SISGP) is designed for highly qualified international students from eligible countries who wish to pursue a full-time master’s degree in Sweden. The scholarship supports programs taught in English for one or two years and aims to empower future global leaders who contribute to the development of their home countries.
Deadline
Applications for the scholarship open in February 2026, following the UniversityAdmissions master’s program application period. Applicants must first apply for admission before the scholarship deadline.

Eligibility criteria
Must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries.
Must have applied to a qualified master’s program via UniversityAdmissions.se before the official deadline.
The selected programs must be eligible and taught in English.
Must be required to pay tuition fees in Sweden (not exempt).
Must demonstrate work experience and leadership potential.
Must have admission (conditional or confirmed) to the master’s program at the time of scholarship selection.
