The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization focused on fighting hunger and improving food security and nutrition. WFP provides immediate food assistance during emergencies and works with communities to build long-term resilience.
In 2020, WFP was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of its efforts to combat hunger in conflict-affected areas.
WFP offers a unique international volunteer opportunity for Chinese nationals enrolled in CYVA-affiliated universities to join as a Business Support Assistant with the Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (VAM) unit at its Cairo Office in Egypt.
This role supports data analysis, project coordination, and reporting tasks within WFP’s country strategic plan that aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger.

Duties & responsibilities
Assist in collecting and analyzing market data for monthly reports.
Support project coordination and documentation efforts.
Contribute to report writing and summarizing economic and social indicators.
Collaborate with various program teams such as:

• Climate and Resilience Activities
Eligibility criteria
Must be a non-Egyptian national (international opportunity).
Must be a Chinese national enrolled at a CYVA-participating university.
Aged between 18 and 80 years old.
Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience.
Fluency in English is required; working knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
At least secondary education, preferably pursuing or holding a degree in economics, statistics, or social sciences.
