Opportunity description

JUGENDZENTRUM PERG is a youth center located in the city of Perg, Austria. It aims to promote youth engagement across different backgrounds without religious or political discrimination. The center provides a safe, creative space for young people aged 11 to 20 to express themselves, explore their interests, and receive support for social or personal issues. It also organizes cultural, sports, and artistic activities that foster responsibility and community involvement.

The volunteer will support and participate in interactive activities with teenagers at the center, contributing to a motivating environment that encourages creativity and engagement. Activities include workshops, sports events, arts and crafts, open discussions, and assistance in youth projects supported by Erasmus+ programs.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Organize and run activities and events for young people (e.g., workshops, sports, arts, cooking, crafts, etc.).

  • Engage with teenagers on a daily basis and encourage them to participate.

  • Share and teach your personal skills or hobbies (e.g., photography, programming, cooking, dancing, music…).

  • Assist in implementing local community programs and initiatives.

  • Support the team with daily logistics and seasonal activities.

Eligibility criteria

  • Aged between 18 and 30 years old.

  • Passionate about working with youth and sharing your skills and hobbies.

  • Able to swim and ride a bicycle (as these are part of the regular activities).

  • Open-minded, creative, and capable of working in a team.

  • Must be affiliated with a recognized Sending Organization within the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) framework.
