The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation is organizing its annual Wildlife Artist of the Year competition. The competition is open to all artists, both amateur and professional, aged 15 years and over.
Submissions Open: January 6, 2025
Deadline: March 27, 2025

- Animal Behaviour
- Earth's Wild Beauty
- Environmental Artivism
- Facing Extinction
- Into the Blue
- Wings
- Youth Exclusive (for artists aged 15-19 years)
Mediums can include, but are not restricted to, oil, acrylic, watercolour, pencil, mixed media, bronze, plaster, wire, collage and textiles, with styles encompassing traditional, abstract, monochrome and many others.
Eligibility:
- All entries must be sent in a digital format.
- Entry fees: \u00a325 per artwork for the first two entries, thereafter \u00a315 per entry. Youth Exclusive (15-19 years): \u00a315 per entry.
Prizes:
- First prize: \u00a35,000 personal cash prize and a \u00a35,000 voucher to donate to a DSWF supported conservation initiative.
- Second prize: \u00a31,000 personal cash prize and a \u00a31,000 voucher to donate to a DSWF supported conservation initiative.
- Category winners: \u00a3500 cash prize per category
- The Michelle Lee Howk First Time Entrants prize: \u00a3500 cash prize
- Youth Exclusive category winner: \u00a3500 cash prize
