Opportunity description

This poetry competition is part of the Winchester Poetry Festival in England. The competition encourages poets from around the world to submit poems on any subject and in any form or style.

Poems must be written in English and must not exceed 40 lines. Poems must not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere (including online).

Entry fees:

  • £6 for the first poem
  • £5 for subsequent poems

Prizes:

  • 1st Prize: £1,000
  • 2nd Prize: £500
  • 3rd Prize: £250

Winning and commended poems will be published in a competition anthology.
