About the organization
BIM Africa is a non-profit organization that sensitizes construction professionals in Africa on the importance and benefits of Building Information Modelling (BIM) on their daily work activities and construction projects. BIM is an innovative technology and process that has transformed the way buildings are designed, analyzed, constructed, and managed. Despite its numerous advantages, the construction industry in Africa is slow to adopt the BIM process. BIM Africa believes that the ignorance of the modalities and benefits of BIM is a major cause of the resistance to adoption. As such, BIM Africa is positioned to organize awareness programs, conduct preliminary training and facilitate the deployment of BIM by construction professionals in Africa.
