Creativity Club - Karak

About

The idea came to support young talented Jordanians from underprivileged families aged 6-25 in the governorate of Karak in south of Jordan. The club went from reaching out to talented youth through schools to being a safe and supportive scientific and educational hub for youth and their families to be part of. It gave more than 4000 youth, more than half female, better life chances in addition to changing the lives of these youth’s families. It put more Jordanian youth on the map and strengthened the scientific climate for Jordanians coming from underprivileged communities. The Club also recruits youth who are seeking to grow a talent in a variety of programs such as music, drawing, Arabic literature, Human Development, English language, Theater, and life skills, that are offered through periodical trainings and workshops. Creativity Club also recruits youth who are seeking to grow a talent in a variety of programs such as music, drawing, Arabic literature, scientific research, English language, and life skills, that are offered through periodical trainings and workshops throughout the year. The club gives special attention to young innovators, entrepreneurs, artists and inventors and provides them with technical, financial, scientific, and pedagogical support. These youth have participated regularly in international and regional competitions such as Intel Science Competition, Intel Science Competition- Arab World, Conference for Talented youth in Asia and the Pacific, and the first Arab Conference for Creativity. The club has also developed partnerships with international and national organizations including: Royal Scientific Society, Mutah University, Ashoka and King Abdullah II Fund for Development.
