About the organization
The Doha Prize for Dramatic Writing is an annual prize created by the Ministry of Culture and Sports for dramatic writing, in accordance with the decision of the Minister of Culture and Sports No. 58 of 2019. The creation of this award, the first Arab in this specialty, came as a culmination of the Doha drama, With a set of recommendations aimed at developing the dramatic industry in the Arab world. As writing is the starting point of any artistic drama project, the award comes as an endeavor to promote public taste by creating texts that are technically and qualitatively consistent. Dramatic writing is an important source in providing communities with their goals and aspirations, improving their positive attitude towards their members, and increasing community solidarity, emphasizing dialogue among cultures and civilizations, and building bridges of understanding between all.
