Internship in the Field of Software Development in Digital Enterprise Labs in Middle East at Emirates

Siemens provides a software development internship at digital enterprise labs at Middle East in UAE. You will join the Siemens digital enterprise team as the software developer intern and help the company to develop applications based on artificial intelligence and drives digital transformation for process industry customers in Middle East.

Eligibility:

You must have:

1. Be a final year student and currently pursuing a degree in computer or software engineering.
2. Coding experience in Java and web technologies.
3. It's preferred to have experience in Mendix.
4. You will possess professional experience in the Agile software process of development and are able to work flexibly in a function-general agile team.
5. Good understanding in test driven development and test automation.
6. Practical experience with Cloud and Cloud-Provider's technologies as well as knowledge in the area of databases and in massive parallel processing.
7. Excellent English skills.

Your Responsibilities:

• The software developer intern will work together with a team of software engineers, software architects, product owners and data scientists in order to bring into the market fascinating new IOT products by means of modern technologies in the area of data analysis and Big Data.
• You will work as a part of an innovative, world-wide, agile team in the organization and development of software based Cloud applications and associated automated tests.
• You will also take on other functions in the area of the software architecture, DevOps solutions or also as a Scrum master.

About Siemens:

The Siemens Tram Consortium (STC) is currently building the flagship Tram system, called People Mover System (PMS) for Qatar Education City (QEC) in Doha/Qatar. The People Mover System (PMS) is the first low floor catenary-free tram system in the world. It uses a Hybrid Energy System (HES) which incorporates a combination of super-capacitors and batteries to power the tram between charging locations along the line. It is manually operated on line of sight rules and the system is being designed in compliance with BO Strab regulations and guidance. There is 11 km of track serving both North and South Campuses of Education City and will employ 19 trams using the Avenio tram chassis by Siemens.
