Talent Acquisition Internship at World Food Program in Italy 2021

The World Food Program (WFP) is offering an internship opportunity in the field of Talent Acquisition in Rome, Italy for 2021. WFP is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who will bring not only their knowledge and interest to the role but who possesses a passion for people and bringing innovative ideas to the table in all areas of Talent Acquisition.  The successful applicant will have a strong solution-oriented approach coupled with a dedication to providing top-tier customer service to both internal and external WFP clients. The Talent Acquisition Branch supports the organization to equip its workforce with the right capabilities by sourcing top talent and building a talent pipeline for future needs. To successfully achieve this goal, Talent Acquisition Team’s portfolio includes the following key responsibilities:

1. Manage recruitment of international professional globally across the organization.
2. Serve as WFP's Centre of Excellence to support field HR offices with expertise, advice and the tools necessary for Talent Acquisition.
3. Build and communicate an engaging employer brand aligned with WFP's strategic plan and People Strategy to attract and compete for the best talent.

Responsibilities:

1. Gain a deep understanding of WFP’s programs and operations, to provide excellent talent acquisition support.
2. Contribute to the team’s ongoing projects including proposing viable approaches and solutions.
3. Manage vacancy announcements in the Applicant Tracking System.
4. Support system creation of technical assessments.
5. Screen candidates against an established set of criteria.
6. Help boost recruiting pipeline by sourcing passive candidates and leveraging social media to publicize the organization and open roles.
7. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Currently enrolled with at least two years undergraduate studies completed, or recently graduated (within the past six months) studies in in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Management, or related area preferred.
2. University course attendance in the past 12 months.
3. Proficiency in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
4. Excellent command of English; Working knowledge of a second UN language would be an asset.
5. Work experience or exposure to Talent Acquisition, Human Resources and project management highly desirable.
6. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members.
7. Strong analytical and communication skills.
8. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy.
9. Ability to think creatively and strategically.
10. Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment.
11. Strong attention to detail.

Desirable Requirements:

1. Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
2. Knowledge of social media outreach platforms highly desirable.
