Unpaid Internship for GIS developers in Czech Republic

Ersmusintern offers an internship in KoPlac foundation in Czech republic. This internship will be specialized in GIS development. This is a Digital Opportunity Traineeship – an EU-funded training initiative – aims to help companies fill vacancies with digitally competent candidates. Digital skills are not only required in the ICT sector but increasingly across all sectors. Knowledge of cybersecurity, data analytics, and machine learning.

Duration: 3 months, If you prefer a different date of internship or you want the internship for a longer/shorter period, write it in the online form.

Internship Tasks:

1. Preparing Open street maps for implementation in touristic portals and mobile app.
2. Creating new map layers with hiking trails and bike trails in the Czech Republic, Slovak and Poland region.
3. Using different software (e.g. QGIS, ArcMap) and open source data in GIS in real-life problems.

Eligibility:

1. This is a Digital Opportunities Traineeship (DOT). If you want to apply for this internship, please remember that you have to be a student or recently graduated based in one of the 33 Program Countries participating in Erasmus+ or the Horizon 2020 Associated Countries. As for Arab countries, only Tunisians are eligible.  
2. Bachelor degree in Geography or Geology.
3. Excellent level of English equals Independent User B2, that corresponds to independent users of the language, i.e. those who have the necessary fluency to communicate without effort with native speakers.
4. No prior experience required.
