UNICEF is offering a consultancy opportunity for an Education Expert specializing in Early Childhood Education in Tunisia. The project aims to support the development, review, and enhancement of a series of educational guides designed for preparatory class teachers working with 5-year-old children. The consultant will ensure the quality of educational content, coordinate review processes, and oversee preparation for publication. The role also involves providing technical and pedagogical support, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and contributing to the promotion of child-centered teaching practices and play-based learning approaches.

Duties & responsibilities
- Provide technical and pedagogical support for the development and enhancement of educational guides.
- Review and improve educational content designed for preparatory classes.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders and partners in the education sector.
- Collect and analyze data and field observations related to educational practices.
- Prepare and review analytical reports and recommendations.
- Organize and facilitate workshops and training activities.
- Develop presentation materials and pedagogical support resources for teachers.
- Ensure the quality of educational outputs before final publication.
Eligibility criteria
- University degree in Education Sciences, Teaching, Child Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 20 years of professional experience in the education sector.
- Experience in preschool education or preparatory classes.
- Experience in developing and reviewing educational guides and pedagogical tools.
- Strong knowledge of modern educational approaches and play-based learning methodologies.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Fluency in both Arabic and French.
- Previous experience collaborating with government institutions and international organizations is considered an asset.
