GEMS School of Research and Innovation – Dubai is offering a job opportunity for a Primary Computing Teacher to join the school starting in January 2027 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The teacher will be responsible for teaching computing to primary school students and building a strong foundation in computational thinking, programming, digital literacy, and the responsible and ethical use of technology. The school also welcomes applications from secondary computing teachers who are interested in transitioning to primary education.

Duties & responsibilities
Contribute to the development, delivery, and review of the Primary Computing curriculum in line with the National Curriculum for England.
Deliver high-quality computing lessons and encourage students to think creatively and confidently through technology.
Support the integration of artificial intelligence, robotics, and emerging technologies into learning in age-appropriate ways.
Develop students’ understanding of digital citizenship, online safety, and the ethical and responsible use of technology.
Use assessment and student data to monitor progress and personalize learning according to students’ needs and ability levels.
Share computing expertise with colleagues and contribute to the development of their teaching practices.
Participate in workshops, enrichment activities, and innovation programs within the school.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
Take part in extracurricular activities and community events.
Support student safeguarding, wellbeing, and personal and social development.
Continuously develop professional skills and participate in training and professional development opportunities.
