Duties & responsibilities
Teach Computer Science to secondary school students.
Deliver high-quality instruction at GCSE and A Level.
Plan and deliver effective and engaging learning experiences for students.
Contribute to the development and improvement of teaching practices within the department.
Collaborate with colleagues and share best teaching practices.
Monitor student progress and encourage them to achieve their full potential.
Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Participate actively in co-curricular programs and activities.
Contribute to school events and the wider school community.
Commit to continuous professional development and the ongoing improvement of teaching practices.
Follow the school’s policies and procedures related to student safeguarding and safety.
Eligibility criteria
Hold a BEd or a bachelor’s degree together with a PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
Have proven experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary school level.
Have experience teaching GCSE and A Level.
Have more than 2 years of professional experience, as the position is classified at the Mid Career level.
Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
Be able to collaborate effectively and share best practices with colleagues.
Have a growth mindset, with the ability to reflect on professional practice and solve problems.
Be creative, enthusiastic, and passionate about motivating students.
Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Be willing to participate in co-curricular activities and community events.

Successfully complete safeguarding checks, including a UK Enhanced DBS check or an equivalent police clearance.
