GEMS United Indian School – Abu Dhabi has opened applications for a KG Teacher position to join the school team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with an immediate start in September 2026.

The school is looking for a qualified and experienced teacher who can provide a positive, safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for children, while using a variety of teaching methods and modern technology to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Duties & responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum and school standards.
  • Using a variety of teaching methods that meet the different needs and ability levels of children.
  • Using digital tools and educational technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • Integrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning skills.
  • Creating a stimulating classroom environment that supports children’s independence, confidence, and curiosity.
  • Monitoring student achievement, documenting progress, and preparing reports.
  • Establishing clear classroom rules and routines.
  • Managing the classroom in a way that ensures safety, participation, and positive behavior.
  • Complying with school policies related to child safeguarding and well-being.
  • Building positive relationships with students and supporting their social and emotional development.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and educational trips.
  • Ensuring students’ safety and well-being at all times.
  • Complying with GEMS Education policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must:

  • Hold a recognized and relevant teaching qualification.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, along with a B.Ed.
  • Ensure that their qualifications are properly attested and officially recognized/equated in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Have at least two years of proven experience teaching Kindergarten (KG).
  • Have effective classroom management skills.
  • Possess good communication skills and the ability to work well with children.
  • Be proficient in using digital tools and educational technology in teaching and assessment.
  • Be able to provide an inclusive and safe learning environment for children.
