UNICEF is offering a consultancy opportunity for a Report Writing Consultant on Private Sector Engagement in Education within the Centre of Excellence for Education in Jordan. The consultant will lead the development of a global evidence-based report examining the role of the private sector in supporting and strengthening education systems, while exploring partnership, financing, and innovation opportunities that can enhance learning outcomes and prepare future generations for the workforce. The consultant will collaborate with education experts, policymakers, and international partners to produce a strategic report scheduled for global launch in 2027, supporting advocacy efforts and education policy development.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, writing, and editing of a global report on the role of the private sector in education.
  • Collect and analyze evidence, research, and data related to education partnerships and initiatives.
  • Develop high-quality content tailored for policymakers, international organizations, and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with education experts, private sector representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide practical recommendations to strengthen collaboration between governments and the private sector.
  • Manage the report development process and ensure timely delivery of all outputs.
  • Support advocacy activities and contribute to the global launch and dissemination of the report.

Eligibility criteria

  • Master's degree in Education Policy, International Development, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in writing and managing high-level international reports.
  • Previous experience working with the private sector and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of private sector engagement in education, educational technology, and skills development.
  • Knowledge of global education agendas and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Strong project management, communication, and analytical writing skills.
