Opportunity description
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is offering a job opportunity in Tunis, Tunisia, for the position of Senior Supply Chain Associate, aimed at supporting procurement, logistics, resource management, and property management activities, while ensuring that the organization’s operational activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with established standards and procedures.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is part of the United Nations system and works to promote safe and orderly migration while providing humanitarian assistance to migrants and displaced people in cooperation with governments and international partners.
The selected candidate will work under the overall guidance of the Head of the Resource Management Unit (RMU) and the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Officer, contributing to the coordination of procurement and contracting activities, management of assets, warehouses, and transportation resources, supplier follow-up, as well as supporting and guiding team members and participating in coordination activities with United Nations agencies and partner organizations.

Duties & responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of the position include:
Manage procurement and sourcing: Coordinate purchasing and tender processes, evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and follow up on the delivery of goods and services.
Manage logistics and resources: Oversee assets, warehouses, facilities, and vehicles, and ensure the availability of supplies required for the organization’s operations.
Planning and monitoring: Prepare procurement plans, monitor contracts and operational budgets, organize documentation and reports, and improve supply chain procedures.
Supervision and coordination: Train and guide staff and coordinate with United Nations agencies, government authorities, and partners to ensure efficient operations.
Eligibility criteria
Educational Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
Master’s degree: In Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
High school diploma: With at least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
Professional certifications in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management are considered an additional asset.
Required Experience
Practical experience in procurement, logistics, and working with suppliers and service providers.
Experience in asset and property management.
Experience in staff training and team coordination.
Knowledge of IOM or United Nations procurement and logistics procedures and regulations is considered an asset.
Previous experience working with an international organization in a multicultural environment is also considered an advantage.
