<p>The Aluminum Extrusion Design <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Competitions-and-Awards" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Competition</strong></a><strong>&nbsp;</strong>opened its application. It is intended to enlighten students and engineering, design, and architecture professionals about aluminum extrusions&#39; superior advantages and many applications.</p><h3>Design Competition Tracks:</h3><p>The 2020 Design Competition offers two possible tracks to compete in:</p><ol><li>Student Class:<ul><li>The Student Class is open to students currently enrolled in high school, college/university, technical school, or graduate school.</li><li>It is highly recommended to include a 3-D printed prototype of your component design</li><li>Your extrusion design must fit within no larger than a 10-inch circle size to be considered for an award.</li><li>Provide as much support material as possible to illustrate the design, its utility, and practicality (i.e., artboards, images &ndash; jpeg preferred &ndash; drawings, full and complete explanation of how your entry meets the four judging criteria: creativity, practicality, product/process advantage, and market impact),</li><li>Proper grammar and spelling are a must.</li></ul></li><li>Professional Class:<ul><li>The Professional Class is open to designers, engineers, architects, manufacturers and others who design components and systems.</li><li>Cash prizes are awarded in four categories: Architectural/Structural, Transportation, Engineered Products and Alternative Energy.</li></ul></li></ol><h3>Cash Prizes &amp; Student Scholarship Awards:</h3><p>Your design could win money! Enter the Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition to compete for cash prizes and student <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>scholarships</strong></a> totaling $27,000.
