The School of Computer Science at Birmingham University in the <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/United-Kingdom" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">UK</a> offers <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">scholarships</a> for students wishing to study for an <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Bachelor" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">undergraduate</a> degree in a Computer Science subject. The Undergraduate International Scholarships in Computer Science is awarded to overseas undergraduate students who apply to study Computer Science in recognition of academic excellence.<h3>Scholarship Value:</h3>The Undergraduate International Scholarship in Computer Science consists of two elements:<ul><li>Achievement Scholarship (£1,500): For international students who attain AAA or equivalent qualification on entry. Renewable annually, subject to obtaining full credits and an overall yearly mark of 70% or higher on the first attempt.</li><li>Excellence Scholarship (£1,500): For international students who attain A*AA/AAAA or equivalent qualification on entry. Not renewable. The Excellence Scholarship is awarded for first year only.</li></ul>Country qualification equivalencies include:<ul><li>AAA = AAA in A Levels / 666 from Higher Level in IB / 555 in Hong Kong HKDSE / 85% in XII ISC, CBSE or Maharashtra; 80% West Bengal or 90% from other state boards.</li><li>A* AA = A* AA in A Levels / 766 from Higher Level in IB / 5*55 in Hong Kong HKDSE / 90% in XII ISC, CBSE or Maharashtra; 85% West Bengal or 95% from other state boards.</li></ul><h2>Eligibility Criteria:</h2>In order to qualify for this award, an applicant must:<ul><li>Be classed as Overseas for fee purposes;</li><li>Have made a programme in&nbsp;Computer Science&nbsp;their firm choice;</li><li>Meet the grades as stated above.</li></ul>Scholars cannot be in receipt of a fully-funded fees scholarship from an external body.
