Opportunity description
Film Freeway is delighted to announce the Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival. The main purpose of the festival is reuniting local and foreign women directors with audiences; reevaluate of the cinema from a feminist perspective and create a discussion platform for women's experiences and problems in this sector. 23rd Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival will take place in Ankara between May 7-14, 2020.
Eligibility criteria:
- Only female directors can apply.
- The production date of the films must be dated 15 November 2018 and later. The films before the date of the construction 15 November 2018 will not be accepted.
- Long, documentary, short film and animation films may apply to the festival provided that they are directed by the female director.
- Selected films will be shown in the Turkish electronic subtitle.
- Copies of long films must be in English subtitles and should be accompanied by a list of English dialogue in order to be able to make English electronic subtitles.
- The format of films and digital works to be presented in the festival program must be DCP or video (Quicktime Uncompressed or H264).
Prize:
The prize for the best film.
