KU Leuven is inviting the researchers for a research stay at the university in Belgium as a part of an exchange program. KU Leuven believes that the mobility of researchers is an important condition for the exchange of knowledge and innovative research and that’s why it supports the incoming mobility of academics from established and future partners to work on topics related to global development.
The Program Activities:
- Taking part in a prospective discussion or prepare a new academic or research cooperation with KU Leuven.
- Following up on a new or an existing cooperation project with KU Leuven.
- Doing (short-term) joint research at KU Leuven.
- Giving guidance to a PhD student of KU Leuven, for instance as a member of a PhD examination committee.
- Giving guest lectures at KU Leuven.
- Attending seminars, conferences and other academic activities at KU Leuven.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates should be appointed professors and postdoctoral researchers from one of the following countries
- Candidates should be provided with an invitation from a KU Leuven professor (ZAP).
Grants:
- A return flight ticket in economy class (based on the invoice)
- Visa costs and other travel-related expenses (based on the invoice)
- Accommodation (based on the invoice) with an indicative maximum of €100 per night
- A per diem of €75 per night (for a maximum stay of 5 days, or longer in case of co-financing with the inviting faculty).
Role:
At the end of the research stay and before leaving KU Leuven, the visiting scholar should report on his stay via the online reporting tool.
