Opportunity description
Ku Leuven University in Belgium offers VLIR-ICP Master's Scholarships in 2020.
Eligibility:
- The applicant must be a national and resident of predetermined scholarship countries, (not necessarily the same country) at the time of application. As for Arab countries, only Morocco and Palestine are eligible.
- The applicant must be eligible for admittance to the selected Master program at KU Leuven, that is one of the following five programs:
- Master of Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies, and requirements here.
- Master of Human Settlements, and prerequisites here.
- Master of Food Technology, and prerequisites here.
- ICP Master in Sustainable Development, and prerequisites here.
- Master of Water Resources Engineering, and prerequisites here.
- The maximum age for a Master's program candidate is 35 years for an initial master and 40 years for an advanced master. The candidate cannot succeed this age on January 1 of the intake year.
- Application for admission in one of the VLIR ICP program leads automatically to a VLIR UOS scholarship application. No further action is needed if the applicant meets all the prerequisites.
Award:
Fully-Funded positions for the total duration of the Master program.

- Return to Job document Certificate from the employer stating the applicant's current employment, and his/her perspectives upon completion of studies. If the applicant currently does not have a job, a no-current-job document could be uploaded.
- Diplomas and transcripts of academic records, or translation of these certificates, if they aren't in English, Dutch, French or German.
- Intermediate official transcripts, in the case of a student, are yet to graduate at the time of application.
- CV, useful format to prepare it provided here.
- English Proficiency Certificate, IELTS, TOEFL or ESOL Cambridge.
- Passport's identity page.
- A short personal statement that the applicant doesn't have to pay the application fee.
- Two Letters of Recommendation, includes the referee contact details, using these templates.
- Relevant information concerning job experience/studies/professional internships (abroad) if applicable.
- Digital portfolio only for students who apply for MA of Human Settlements: that come from architectural education.
