Fully Funded Ph.D. Scholarships from the Central European University in Hungary 2024

The Central European University (CEU) in Hungary is offering doctoral scholarships for international students in the following disciplines: 

• Cognitive Science.
• Economics and Business.
• Environmental science and policy.
• Gender studies. 
• History. 
• International relations. 
• Legal studies. 
• Mathematics and its applications. 
• Medieval Studies. 
• National Studies.
• Network Science.
• Philosophy.
• Political Science.
• General Policy. 
• Sociology.
• Social anthropology.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must have a master's degree (or equivalent) in a related field from a recognized university or institution of higher education, or provide documentation indicating that they will earn such a degree before enrollment in a CEU doctoral course of study.
• In exceptional cases, the Department of Cognitive Science will also consider candidates who only hold a bachelor's degree, provided it is in a discipline closely associated with cognitive science.
• Students enrolled in a doctoral program at CEU must not be simultaneously enrolled in other institutions of higher education, and are required, at the beginning of their studies at CEU, to sign a declaration to this effect.

Funding:

The scholarship covers full tuition and health insurance plus a monthly stipend to help with housing and living costs.

Note: Students can choose to rent private accommodation or book a room at the Budapest Residence Center or the Vienna Residence, depending on availability.
