<p>Rhodes Trust in partnership with Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan offers two <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">scholarships</a> to Emirati students who wish to complete their postgraduate studies in the University of Oxford in the <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/United-Kingdom" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">United Kingdom</a>. The Rhodes Scholarship program is the oldest (established in 1903), and perhaps the most prestigious and international scholarship program in the world. Administered by the Rhodes Trust in Oxford, the program covers more than 100 fully-funded scholarships each year for postgraduate study for young leaders of outstanding intellect and character who are motivated to engage with global challenges, commit to the service of others and show promise of becoming value-driven principled leaders in the future.&nbsp;</p><h3>Selection Criteria:</h3><p>The selection committee is looking for the following:</p><ul><li>Academic excellence (e.g. First Class Honors or GPA of minimum 3.7 out of 4 or equivalent)</li><li>Energy to use talents to the full (as demonstrated by mastery in areas such as sports, music, debate, theatre, and artistic pursuits, particularly where team work is involved)</li><li>Truth, courage, devotion to duty, sympathy for and protection of the weak, kindliness, unselfishness and fellowship</li><li>Moral force of character and instincts to lead, and to take an interest in your fellow human beings</li></ul><h3><br></h3><p><br></p>

<p>Applicants must:</p><ul><li>UAE citizens who have (or will have) completed an undergraduate degree (whether in the UAE or overseas) by June / July 2020 are eligible to apply</li><li>Non-UAE citizens who have (or will have) have completed an undergraduate degree by June / July 2020 at a college or university in the United Arab Emirates are eligible to apply.</li><li>Have reached 18 years and not have passed 24 years on October 1, 2020, which means applicants must have been born after October 1, 1996 and on or before October 1, 2002</li><li>Have completed (or will have completed by June 30, 2020 an undergraduate degree from a college or a university (normally a Bachelor’s) to a sufficiently high standard to be admitted to postgraduate study at the University of Oxford</li><li>Applicant must have a sufficiently high standard of English and have met -by the application deadline the English language proficiency requirements for IELTS / TOEFL (at the Higher Level listed) of the University of Oxford.</li></ul><h3>Required Documents:</h3><ul><li>A copy of a valid passport (with translation, if necessary), confirming that you meet the citizenship criteria.</li><li>An official transcript from the college or university at which the applicant is studying, or have studied, showing grades achieved (to date).</li><li>Evidence of English language proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS)</li><li>CV without including a photograph (two pages maximum)</li><li>A color photograph (JPG format)</li><li>A personal statement (no more than 1,000 words) that should include answers to: Who are you? What matters to you?
