The Islamic Development Bank opened the application for the <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Scholarship</a> Programmes for the Year 2022- 2023. The IsDB has been funding the following Scholarship Programmes for citizens from IsDB member countries and Muslim communities worldwide:<ol><li class="ql-align-justify"><a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships?bachelor=1" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Undergraduate</a> Programme</li><li class="ql-align-justify"><a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships?master=1" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Master’s</a> Programme</li><li class="ql-align-justify"><a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships?phd=1" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">PhD</a> Programme and Post-doctoral Research Programme</li><li class="ql-align-justify">IsDB-ISFD for Vocational Education &amp; Training (VET) and Bachelor studies for the IsDB 21 Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs)</li><li class="ql-align-justify">fields.</li></ol><h3 class="ql-align-justify">Place of Study:</h3>Consistent with the concept of the Programme, selected students must obtain admissions in one of the approved fields of study at one of the top public/government universities in their own countries. In case of unavailability of fields of study in their home countries, they can seek admission in member countries having agreement with the IsDB, i.e. Malaysia, Morocco, Tunisia, TurkeyIn addition, selected students may seek admission from top universities having agreement with the IsDB, i.e. Cambridge and Oxford Universities, National University of Uzbekistan and Tashkent University of Information Technologies.

The program covers the following items:<ol><li class="ql-align-justify">Monthly stipend commensurate with the cost of living of the country of study.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Tuition fees, if any, subject to IsDB’s approval.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Cost of medical treatment at a university/government hospital.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Economy class return air tickets (once at the time of joining and on completion of study) and installation and equipment allowance for the students selected to study abroad at partnered universities/countries.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Thesis preparation Allowance for master's program.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Thesis preparation allowance and scientific papers’ preparation allowance for PhD studies.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Scientific papers’ preparation allowance for post-doctoral research.</li></ol>

The Programme is open for academically meritorious students with a strong desire to engage in social services and community development after graduation.&nbsp;The prospective candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:<ol><li class="ql-align-justify">Citizens of any of the IsDB member countries or Muslim communities in non-member countries.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Not in receipt of any other scholarship.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Be medically fit and willing to undergo medical tests after selection.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">For Undergraduate programs: Completed high school with minimum good grades in major subjects or currently studying in the first year at one of the top public/government universities in their own countries or in member countries have an agreement with the IsDB (Malaysia, Morocco, and Turkey).</li><li class="ql-align-justify">For Master's Programmes: Be a graduate with a grade above “Good” in his/her bachelor studies.</li><li>For PhD study:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">Have a Master’s degree in one of the fields of study of the program</li><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">Have a minimum ("Very Good") academic standing;</li><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">Preferably have work and/or research experience.</li><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">Have a research proposal in one of the fields of study of the program stating its scientific and development relevance to the community/country.</li></ul><ol><li>For Post-doctoral research:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">Have PhD degree in one of the approved fields of the program.</li><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">Have a minimum ("Very Good") academic standing.</li><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">Have not less than two (2) years of experience in the field of research.</li><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">Must have a record of publications/research in the same field.</li><li class="ql-indent-1 ql-align-justify">Have a research proposal in one of the fields of study of the program stating its scientific and development relevance to the community/country.</li></ul><ol><li class="ql-align-justify">The eligible candidates may apply to study one of the following fields of study only: Sustainable Agriculture, Education, Education for Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Energy, Sustainable Cities, Responsible Growth, Waste Management, Population Growth, Green Chemistry, Biodiversity, Plastic pollution, and Micro-plastics, Water and Hygiene, Health, ICT for Development, Innovation &amp; Infrastructure Development, Islamic Economics, Finance and Banking, and&nbsp;Social Sciences </li></ol><h3>The Islamic Development Bank:</h3>The Islamic Development Bank is a multilateral development bank (MDB), working to improve the lives of those it serves by promoting social and economic development in Muslim countries and communities worldwide, delivering impact at scale.
