Laval University is offering Master's scholarships to outstanding students who are from Africa in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
Funding
Laval University is offering a scholarship of 7,000$ per year. Scholarships can be renewed once, for a maximum of four semesters or $14,000. Master’s level merit scholarships for international students may be combined with other scholarships, specifically Support for Success Fund scholarships and scholarships from the student’s home country. However, applicants can’t combine the scholarship with a full scholarship (tuition and living expenses) from the Canadian Bureau for International Education.
Eligibility
- Candidates with an average of 14/20 or more in Bachelor degree (or the equivalent of a “mention bien”) are automatically awarded a scholarship if they receive an offer of admission to the program of study. Candidates with an average of 11/20 to 13/20 may be eligible, subject to faculty decision.
- At the deadline indicated: 15 September, 2019, applicants must have submitted a complete application package at Université Laval in an eligible first master’s program and have been accepted in this program.
- Applicants must be citizen of African country.
- Applicants must be graduated from a public university accredited by the ministry of higher education in your country of origin. For private institutions, eligibility is determined when the file is reviewed.
- Applicants must be registered full time for the two first semesters in the program of study for which the scholarship was granted.
- Applicants must not receive a full scholarship (tuition and living expenses) from the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE).
