<p>School of Global Affairs and Public Policy in American University in Cairo, offers its <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Fellowships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>fellowship</strong>&nbsp;</a>for Television and Digital Journalism, under the name of&nbsp;Kamal Adham. The fellowship is designed to attract deserving and qualified graduates of Journalism and Mass Communication programs as well as professionals in mid-career television and digital journalism positions who wish to pursue full-time study (nine credits per semester) towards a one and a half year <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Master" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>master’s degree</strong></a> in television and digital journalism at AUC.</p><h3>Responsibilities of Fellows:</h3><p>A Teaching Assistantship mandatory training must be completed if the fellow is involved in teaching assistantship duties. The training needs to be completed only once. Teaching assistants at the AUC are graduate students who enhance their own learning experience and that of undergraduate students by assisting course instructors in facilitating learning activities for courses inside and outside the classroom.</p><h3>Duration:</h3><p>Two academic years and the intervening summer session, with a review every semester for satisfactory academic performance.</p>

<p>The fellowship covers:</p><ol><li>Partial tuition fees for a maximum of eight credits per semester.</li><li>May cover prerequisite courses and one semester of intensive English language courses as needed.</li><li>Book allowance per semester.</li><li>Student services and activities fees (bus fees).</li><li>Fellows are assigned up to 20 hours per week of related academic or technical work.</li></ol><p><br></p>

<ol><li>All nationalities.</li><li><a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Bachelor" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bachelor</a> degree with a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent.</li><li>For continuing&nbsp;students; to retain the fellowship, the recipient must&nbsp;maintain a GPA of 3.0.</li><li>Preference is given to graduates of Egyptian public universities and professionals in the broadcasting industry.</li><li>Proven interest and achievement in television and digital journalism.</li><li>An interview with the program director is required to assess candidates’ commitment, potential and communication skills.</li><li>Financial need.</li></ol><h3>Required Documents:</h3><p>For new graduate degree-seeking students; satisfy graduate admission requirements as follows:</p><ol><li>A statement of purpose (about 500 words for each graduate program selected) indicating the reasons of interest in the specific program, what you will bring as skills and/or experiences to the program, and how graduate studies fit in your long term academic and professional objectives.</li><li>An updated resume (CV) that must include work experience and educational background.</li><li>At least two online letters of recommendation from persons familiar with your academic or professional background.&nbsp;</li><li>Official academic records, of which one must be a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with proof of degree completion. Original documents can be returned to the applicants at a later date.</li><li>Clear copy of the valid national ID card (front and back) – Egyptian applicants only.</li><li>Clear copy of the information pages of your passport – International applicants and Egyptian dual nationals.</li><li>One recent passport size photograph (a clear electronic copy).</li><li>Satisfactory English language proficiency examination test results, as follows:</li></ol><ul><li>IBT TOEFL overall score 79-90, PBT TOEFL score 550 or above.</li><li>IELTS overall score of 6.5.</li><li>CAMBRIDGE overall score of 176.&nbsp;</li></ul><h3>About AUC:</h3><p>AUC was founded in 1919, and it is a leading English-language, American-accredited institution of higher education and center of the intellectual, social and cultural life of the Arab world.
